They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and that means that more people here own dogs than cats. The huge number of dog owners in Texas demand places all around town in which they can walk and run their dogs, which explains why there are so many quality dog parks in the Dallas apartments metro area. Let’s take a look at some of the best ones, and keep an eye out, there are always new ones opening every few months around the city.

Near Good Latimer Expressway and Commerce Street, you will find the beautiful Bark Park dog park. This is a fenced in dog park perfect for running, playing and all around dog gone fun. There are dog water fountains and plenty of room to run around and play. The Bark Park has been such a hit, it is being used a model for dog parks all over the Dallas metro area.

Near beautiful White Rock Lake lies the Dallas Dog Park, a full acre of land dedicated solely to our favorite four legged friends. This park is run by the city and is often in wonderful shape, although it can get a little crowded on busy summer weekends. The best time to visit this popular dog park is early in the morning or late in the evening if you want to ensure that your pooch has the right to roam as he or she wishes.

On Deep Elm road near the I-75 interchange, you will find the beautiful Deep Elm Dog Park. This is another beautiful Dallas area dog park that has expansive room for your dog to get the exercise he or she needs. There are trashcans and baggies provided to take care of your dog’s business and there are also water fountains provided to ensure that your dog doesn’t go home thirsty.
